Panama City, Florida: The Hottest Spring Break DestinationPanama City is hot, and we don't just mean the weather. With over 27 miles of white sand beaches and numerous beach clubs, it is the most popular Spring Break destination, and for good reason.

This oceanfront town, located two hours west of Tallahassee, is the Spring Break capital of the United States. Over half a million students and revelers make the journey to Panama City during their Spring Break, so if you're one of them, make reservations early. The hotels in Panama City have a total of about 18,000 rooms, so many people will be forced to stay up all night...and party! Panama City's beach life is the star attraction. You've got the white sandy beaches, you've got the sun, and you've got the water. You can laze around out on the sand or do some scuba diving in the balmy waters of the Gulf. But in addition to the regular vacationing activities, Panama City has clubs for fun in the sun and after-hours fun. Spinnaker, La Vela, Sharky's, Schooner's and Harpoon Harry's each put on huge Spring Break extravaganzas. Many of these clubs have stages with live concerts, pools, food, and drinks at the bar. You can dance, party, eat, drink or watch some racy, risqué contests, hosted by television networks like MTV. If you've got the courage, you might even participate in them. All in the name of good fun. Who knows? You might even see your favorite celebrity dancing right alongside you. Every year, Spring Break gets bigger and bigger, so you won't want to miss out. Think of it as a week of fun, sun and...ahem...loose morals.
Road Tripping to Panama CityAnd the best thing about Panama City is that it's located on the continent. You can drive to Florida, regardless of whether you're studying biology in California or law in Massachusetts. Besides, it's Spring Break. Grab a few friends, book a room, find a car, and make a road trip down for a week of endless partying.
